Hello and Welcome!
My name is Alexis Rodriguez and this blog has been set up to demonstrate my work done in Design VI, if there are any questions feel free to post a comment on any post and I'll respond as soon as I can.
A study of these examples in section would be interesting, to see the relation between spatial division, circulation, and lighting with respect to the plan layouts.
Thank you Mr. Gafner, your idea of trying to view the spacial elements and lighting interact with one another through section diagrams is a great idea to do.
I agree with Aaron above. The benefit of working in section helps to get a futher anaysis of the actual spatial volumns and and perhaps sight and light penetrations. It would also help you get a good sense of the percentage of space (per example) dedicated to each program which will be very useful for you as you go into the design phase of your project.
I have yet to utilize the section breakdown, both of you guys are absolutely correct about how it will work better. I'm going to pull those types of images for a draft of the final project.

ReplyDeleteNB: In addition, understanding the buildings in section will also assist in the adjacency matrix!
